Elburn Animal Hospital

Dr. Susan J. Cechner
graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989.
She has worked for a small animal practice/emergency service in Schaumburg, IL, and an emergency service in St. Charles prior to reopening the Elburn Animal Hospital in 1992. Before becoming a veterinarian she had attended Monmouth College and Rush

University for a bachelor’s degree in medical technology. As a medical technologist, she worked for four years at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in the clinical immunology and biochemistry laboratories. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Cechner enjoys spending time with her family, camping, biking, and skiing.
